12, 30, 24 People have Died on the Infamous Nithi Bridge.
The Kenyan Nation Newspaper has called it the most dangerous traffic spot in Kenya.
Blocked by steep narrow roads winding through the mountains, Nithi Bridge is hard to see until you’re right on it Despite road signs warning BLACK SPOT every year many people die here. For years the Kenyan government has planned to solve this, but nothing has been done.
But now Neema Bible College class is just at end of the Nithi Bridge climbing lane. NBC teachers passing Nithi are speaking the word of safety and rebuking the spirit of accidents. And we thank God since we started the class, we have not witnessed any fatal accidents. GLORY TO GOD!!!
GO is one of our favorite words at HEART OF GOD KENYA. This insignificant tiny word when powered by the Holy Ghost impacts nations. First in Genesis we see God commanding Abram to GO from his own country to a land that he did not know. (Genesis 12) Because of Abram’s faith and obedience, a great nation was birthed.
Centuries later Jesus commissioned His disciples to GO to all nations and proclaim that Jesus has covered all our sins with His precious blood. GO and stomp on satan reminding that evil one that Jesus has destroyed all his evil works (1 John 3:8). So, we will GO and shall keep on GOing until all the nations know that Jesus Christ is Lord.

At NEEMA we know the study of God’s Word has the power to change anyone who takes the time to examine the Bible carefully However most adults are too busy with family and business life to devote 100% of their time to study. Therefore, Neema offers part-time classes in many different locations.
We have a vision of training God’s people to fulfill one’s individual destiny. God’s plan is to have all people everywhere know that He loves them and wants relationship with them.

While street-witnessing on the Coast, we met up with a prophet who has been bewitching people. We got into his church where we found horns, salt, sand-clothes and all kinds of witch paraphernalia. We met a Muslim man who was working as care-taker for the prophet. We started praying in tongues and shared Jesus Christ with him. That very day he rejected Mohammed and received Jesus Christ. One of our students stayed behind to preach the gospel to all the people that usually come to see the false prophet. Now, in a place of darkness and curses, we hear testimonies of signs and wonders.

When Ruth joined Neema, she was taking drugs for depression. But since learning of God’s goodness and grace, she no longer needs the drugs and is now gaining her strength back. Before joining class, Ruth’s husband was killed in a road accident. But even before his death they had already separated because he was involved in demonic activities thinking that was his only way to make money. He was also unfaithful to Ruth. After the death of her husband her grown son who works in Nairobi had developed kidney problems. When Ruth visited her son, he told her how his pastor had been asking him to sacrifice a lot of money for God to heal him.
Every Tuesday before he attended the clinic, he passed by the church for prayers but his health just got worse. Now the pastor was telling him that he must give an amount of money which is equal to the condition he had so that God perhaps would intervene and heal him. When Ruth heard all this, she shared with her son how God gave us all things freely in Christ. Immediately her son stopped believing the lies and stopped paying for his healing because Jesus paid for his healing. When the pastor saw that the guy wasn’t coming by any more, he called him and asked why? The son answered and told the pastor that his mother had taught him how Christ already paid for his healing. The pastor became so mad that he cursed him so that he would not be healed. Praise be to God. Now Ruth is telling us that her son’s health is improving. Now he can drive and walk upstairs without anybody assisting him which he could not do before. Praise be to God!

Minister with what you have – not thinking about what you don’t have.
Did Jesus ever lack? Yes – he only had 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed over 5,000 people. He didn’t complain, but gave thanks for what He had. 12 baskets full of food was left.Start with what you have and give thanks, and God will add His super on your natural.
Patroba only had a mud house and an acre to feed his own family, yet he opened up his mud home to these kids who know what it is to be without. No mama. No clean water. Little food. No hope for tomorrow. But God. God asked Patroba to love them and He would take care for their needs. As you give to HEART OF GOD KENYA, we in turn rent 2 more acres for Patroba’s kids. And the crops provide food, school fees and enough extra for Patroba to give to others.
In 2004, Lydia was only 11 years old when her school asked us to take her in. Her mama died and all mama’s responsibilities for her younger brothers and her lonely step-father fell to Lydia. Today Lydia sells fruits and vegetables on the roadside by a technological college. Usually, she sells enough to feed her family but that’s all. You through Heart of God are helping Lydia’s family by supplementing her income. There’s no government aid for single mamas in Kenya.

These are our Grandkids. Aren’t they Gorgeous?
Prayer is such a funny thing. God knows what we need and is wanting to give us abundantly above all we can ask or think according to the power that works within us. Ephesians 3:20. So why does He want us ask to ask Him. Why doesn’t He just do it? Obviously God wants us to trust Him and acknowledge that He is the reason something is done. And I think He wants us to come to Him simply because He desires relationship with us. He loves us so much! Our house in Independence, Missouri is in the ministry. That’s right. The rent money we get allows us to send money to Kenya. And Mike is driving a school bus too to send money to Kenya. Our social security is not enough to support the $13,000+ monthly expenses of Heart of God Kenya. However, it is the gifts of our friends like you that really enable the Gospel of Grace to continue to be spread in Kenya. Thanks so much. Mike and I ask you to pray while we prepare our missionary house for new renters.
Our renters are moving out and we are declaring it to be Clean and Rented before May when we will go to Kenya.
