Dear Papa, I read of Patriarchs of faith in the Bible, but your faith over the years has taught me to trust in God and to lean not on my own understanding. God has always been there for us. I remember years ago when you and me discussed that if a CPA came and looked at our numbers, he would advise us to shut it down. I have over the years seen how God has expanded our ministry and still increasing us as we obey Him. Thank you Papa and Mama for the obedience to this great call. I believe this year 2026 we will reach more people than ever. – Victor (NBC Director)
What Victor wrote is true. God has continually expanded our ministry as we go forth spreading the Gospel of Grace. There are many in Kenya that believe in God even though they think that He is ready to punish them harshly every time they sin. NEEMA Bible College dispels this lie, showing God’s true nature is full of unconditional love and blessings.
At the end of 2025, we finally accepted God’s instructions to raise the salaries of our faithful teachers by 40%. Inflation over the past few years has been sky-rocketing in Kenya, but NBC salaries remained the same.
Our staff works long hours, traveling hours to class, teaching all day and then traveling back home-often getting home at 7 or 8. Other classes are further away like Lamu — on the coast — and Kisimu — on the Uganda border. In fact, they are so far away that our teachers travel there every-other-week and teach for 2 days.
Thank You Partners – In January the money to meet HOGK expenses including this increase was given. We known that God will meet this additional expense every month for He is Faithful.
“Moreover, there are many workmen with you, stonecutters and masons of stone, carpenters, and all men who are skilled in every kind of work. Of the gold, the silver, and the bronze, and the iron, there is no limit. Arise and work, and may the Lord be with you.”
– 1 Chronicles 22:15-16

Jennifer Kanini Mutua is a student at Neema Bible College in Watamu. She is always joyful. But recently she quit coming. We missed her big, beautiful smile.
When I asked what was wrong, I learned that serious back pain was keeping her from class. I was told that she went to Kijabe Mission Hospital for treatment. After tests and scans, the doctors said she needed surgery on her lower spine.
They said if the surgery went well, she could heal, but if not, she might be in a wheelchair forever.
This kind of surgery costs a lot of money. The hospital told her to go home and return only when she had an insurance plan and the funds. (All surgeries are pre-paid for in Kenya.)
Finally, Jennifer came back to class, but she was still in a lot of pain. Her joy and smile were gone. She walked with great difficulty. When I was teaching, I could see that she was suffering and said, “Today, you will go home healed and without pain, by the power of the Holy Spirit.” I saw her smile slowly begin to return.
After class I asked her to sit with her legs straight, and the class noticed her right leg was shorter. I commanded, “Right leg, grow in the name of Jesus.” Immediately, it grew out to match the other. I told her to stand and check her pain. She bent, stretched, and pressed her back. She even asked another student, Jenny, to press her lower back to test it. There was no pain!
We were all overjoyed. We gave glory to God! Jennifer went home completely free from pain.
Our class meets every Wednesday. The next week, Jennifer returned with an amazing testimony. Her pain was completely gone! She has been doing all her household chores freely, something she couldn’t do for months before. Jennifer is healed, her smile is back, and she is free.
Jennifer says, “Thank you all at Neema, and for all your support in sharing this wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ.”
We are blessed to be a blessing…
We are the light in the darkness…
We are the hands and feet of Jesus!

Didi’s leg smelled like rotten garbage
HEART of GOD Director Mugumbi Talks to Everyone About God’s Amazing Love
One day Dennis was taking a walk and he decided to strike up a conversation with a man he met on the road. Within minutes the stranger started crying and invited Dennis to come and pray for his wife. Dennis grabbed George, another NEEMA teacher, to join them. As they followed Vintaris into his house, they found Didi, Vintaris’ wife, sitting on the floor. Didi has a bad leg. They put a metal rod in it, and now it was smelling REALLY BAD—like rotten garbage.
Dennis shared the love of God with both of them. Didi was so excited to hear about the love and the grace of God. She thought that God had forgotten them. but now she could confess that God still loves her. Then they prayed and gave them money to go to Busia Hospital.
YOU, Heart of God Partners gave them money to go to Busia Hospital. We will continue to support them until Didi is healed.
The Smell of Didi’s Leg Reminds Me of Zippy Back in 2014
Every few weeks this courageous grandmother climbed up 2 miles on our rocky, mountain road to visit us at HOGK. She was always smiling and praising Jesus. After having a cup of chai with this precious daughter of God we prayed, gave her a few potatoes, and she was gone. But at the end of last year, Zippy had begun using a tall stick to help her navigate the mountain side and when she arrived, she was out of breath, complaining of chest pain.
I figured it was her heart until one day she unbuttoned her blouse revealing a massive, smelly sore covering half of her breast. “Cancer”, was my first thought and I quickly called for the other ladies in our compound to come and pray. As they prayed in Kmeru, I prayed in English. I knew God had answered. Frankly, I thought this was the last time Zippy would come because my prayer was for comfort, and the ultimate comfort for this precious child of God would be to go into the arms of Jesus!
So, when Zippy showed up at our gate again, with a twinkle in her eyes, boy was I surprised! Quickly she undressed revealing 2 clean, healthy breasts. Healed! Free of pain! And doing a little jig, she praised Jesus!
“And the prayer of faith will save the sick and He will rise him up.” – James 5:15
FYI: Zippy was nearly 80 years old when she was healed. She was also an acholic.

Tassia Soldiers Join NEEMA Bible College
The two conservation soldiers that got born again when we drilling the Tasia Well, are now are pastoring our church there. And they have joined Neema Bible College. They started the class on Thursday, January 29th.
Heart of God Partners Dug Tassia Well in 2020

Congratulations Talia!
In December Talia graduated from Pre Unit, Kindergarten. She’s so smart-speaking Swahili, Kmeru, English plus learning French @ school. (That’s an extra blessing as our Congo Refugee speaks French.)
In 2020 Talia was rescued from death….She was in ICU for days because her mama had left Baby Talia and her grandmama was giving her unpasteurized cow’s milk that was killing her. Grandmama was unable to take her so HEART of GOD took Talia home and we’re so blessed that we did.
We are blessed to be a blessing…
We are the light in the darkness…
We are the hands and feet of Jesus!
