We’re Back!
We’re back in Kenya and on the move, telling people everywhere that God loves them and there’s absolutely nothing they can do to change that! That God has good plans for them – not to harm them but to give them an expected end. All they need to do is believe on the One God has sent – then they are promised everything that pertains to life and godliness.
This year God sent friends from America to join us as we tell the Good News. See us on the Equator with Celcia and Jamin from Ohio, Lee and Amy from Colorado, and the Logans from Missouri have been here too. Our Pastor Ed Seabolt is here now.
Pat’s here in a Tuk-tuk in Kilifi, our Coastal Region. What a privilege it is to encourage our NEEMA Bible College students to teach God’s Word to kids when their hearts are tender so when life challenges them, they’re equipped to win the battles.
Mike on the Indian Ocean
Continually we are seeking God’s direction. Presently Victor Kiogoro Coastal Region director is meeting with pastors in Mpeketoni-Lamu County to begin NEEMA there in July. In 2003 God told Mike to spread the gospel in Lamu which is the African Islamic Mecca.
As Mike shares with NEEMA teachers and students, he states “Leaders see before others see, and they see farther than others. Leaders must be strong and courageous and obedient to God’s will to be successful – Joshua chapter 1.”
Heart of God Kenya & NEEMA Bible College National Headquarters
Mike is teaching NEEMA Tuesday Class in The Chapel. This steel building is next to our office. We built it during covid. We have always said, “We build people, not buildings”. But in 2019, Mike had a Holy Spirit urge to build a multi-purpose building. We had no money but we planted a hedge-marking the perimeter of the building. The 12-inch plants grew rapidly and were 3 feet by the time we put up the frame. Then a donation from Charis/Poland came and we put up the walls. Never asking for money, the money came. This year the Kenyan Government came to inspect NEEMA Bible College facilities and reported that our buildings were exceptional.
NEEMA Bible College Graduations 2023
Thanks to Heart of God partners, pastors all across Kenya are teaching their people that God’s plans for them is to prosper them and give them an expected end.
High up in the Nyambeni Mountains, these precious kids are learning Bible verses and experiencing God’s amazing love.
Naserian and Pat
“So, in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” – Galatians 3:26-29
Naserian has traveled thousands of kilometers on foot. Pat climbed 8 miles once in Colorado. Naserian never has watched TV, ate pizza or signed her name. Nor has she ever flown in an airplane. Yet this strong Maasi woman is trusting in Jesus Christ and she dances fearlessly for hours as she worships God.
Naserian lives in Nanguduro. Heart of God first went to Nanguduro in June 2016. We attempted to go there once a month for the roads are rough-100 kilometers (62miles). It takes 3 or 4 hours to drive there depending on the weather. Cattle rustling and tribal conflicts still erupt periodically. However, now our beloved Pastor Nykaeo is ministering to these precious people, and she encourages them to have faith in Jesus and hope of tomorrow.
The bright colors used in Maasai beadwork are; Red – stands for bravery and unity, Yellow or Orange – symbolizes hospitality, White – represents peace, purity, and health, Blue – represents energy and the sky, Green – symbolizes health and land. Black – represent the struggles they have to overcome.
